Rumours continue to swirl around a suspected major split between the Ontario Landowners and its Lanark branch. Reached on his cell phone, Ontario Landowners’ President Jack MacLaren denied any threat of “expulsion” and stressed” Lanark has been and continues to be an old and valued member of the Ontario Landowners. In fact you could say that it represents the source of our present organization.”

Maclaren went on to state,”I think it’s safe to say that the OLA has grown very fast. as with any expanding organization, we’ve experienced our fair share of growing pain. In the Case of the Lanark Branch, there have been some problems and a little confusion. Nothing, let me repeat , nothing g has been resolved and I’m extremely hope fut that the situation will sort itself out very shortly. However, if difficulties continue, then they will be discussed at our board meeting scheduled for the end of this month, and appropriate action will be taken at the discretion of the board.”
